Welcome to Russet House School
We provide a high quality, specialised education in a happy, purposeful and nurturing environment. We understand the differences experienced by autistic young people (as identified by the Autism Education Trust) in the areas of:
- social understanding and communication
- sensory processing and integration
- flexible thinking and information processing.
Our curriculum https://russethouse.enfield.sch.uk/School/Curricuum-plans/ has been developed in recognition of these and so at its core are the life-skills of social communication and self-regulation. Learning is enhanced by a range of specialist and motivating teaching strategies. Behaviour is supported through positive and trauma informed approaches, which are rooted in promoting wellbeing.
If you are looking for a school place for your child, then please visit our admissions page https://russethouse.enfield.sch.uk/School/Admissions/ and contact the school office to book a parent tour. We value open communication and collaboration with our parents, working together to identify each child’s next steps and helping them to generalise their learning between home and school.
If you are looking to join our staff team then please follow the link to vacancies https://russethouse.enfield.sch.uk/School/Vacancies/ We offer excellent professional development as part of a positive and supportive team. Knowledge and experience of SEND is an advantage but not essential, more important is an interest in children, autism and a readiness to learn in our fast paced-environment.
The Enfield Advisory Service for Autism (EASA) is part of Russet House School, sharing our expertise and experience through a specialist outreach service.
